Thanks to Dayna for setting this up! I wanted to pass along the only option that I know of for attempting to get back pay. The first step is to file a Wage Claim with the Dept of Labor.....the form is available at this address below. Copy and paste it into your browser- http://www.iowaworkforce.org/labor/wagesteps.htm
Per the conversation that I had at the Dept of Labor the only other option is small claims court but she said this would be the place to start.
Thank you very much Dayna for setting this up. As far as any back pay is concerned - please remember that we would not be paid until this Friday. Technically, it is not owed yet.
